Sound familiar?
The power trips when the kettle and the aircon run together. The meter box still has old ceramic fuses. Or a building inspector has flagged your board before a sale.
A switchboard upgrade replaces old fuses with modern circuit breakers and safety switches (RCDs), and gives you room for what you're adding next. We find the cause of the fault first, so you only pay for what fixes it.
Why MBEC: a licensed electrician on every job, Bailey overseeing the work, and a fixed price before anything starts.

What customers say
“I have used Bailey and his crew for my electrical work many times now. What I like is how they ALWAYS arrive on time, are very polite, and always clean up after themselves. I will definitely use them again in the future and can highly recommend their work. They know what they are doing when it comes to major renovations. They listen to what you want to achieve and have delivered on that every-time”
Common questions
How do I know if my switchboard needs upgrading?
Common signs are old ceramic fuses, power that trips often, no safety switches, scorch marks or a burning smell, or plans to add air conditioning, an EV charger or a renovation. If you're not sure, send us a photo of your board.
What does a safety switch do?
A safety switch (RCD) watches the current in a circuit and cuts the power in a fraction of a second if electricity starts leaking, for example through a person. It's different to a circuit breaker, which protects the wiring.
Why does my power keep tripping?
It's usually a faulty appliance, water getting into a fitting, an overloaded circuit or a wiring fault. We test circuit by circuit to find it, then tell you the fix and the price.
Do you do emergency call-outs?
After-hours call-outs are for existing customers. Otherwise call us during business hours and we'll get you sorted as soon as we can.
Can you upgrade a board for a new air conditioner or EV charger?
Yes. We check the capacity when we quote and include any board work in one fixed price.
